Vitamin Gummies

This is going to be hard to believe, but I got superpowers from vitamin gummies. I know you won’t believe it, but it happened and I’m about to tell you all about how it happened. Of course, to the best of my ability and knowledge since I suffer from over-exaggeration syndrome, according to my mom.

It was a dark stormy night…there were dinosaurs in the sky.

I went downstairs because I couldn’t sleep. I needed to get something to drink, maybe some warm milk with cinnamon, sounded great. It was an odd hour in the night so everyone was asleep and no one around to make my warm milk with cinnamon which always puts me to sleep right away. I was left to search for a cure to my insomnia myself.

Being small and with a minimal vocabulary, I had to make do with the few letters I knew. There was probably a handful of hours before anyone could come help me read these labels, so I knew I had to get a head start figuring it out. We could later combine letters we both knew and figure this thing out, but I was a one-track mind, had to get to bed, no time to wait.

I’m surprisingly athletic for a ball of mush and find my way up and onto the counter of the kitchen where all the “stuff” is stuffed in. At this point, I can hear the dinosaurs in the sky.

I’ve got to be like five.

It was crazy, the shadows of the lizards from the moonlight almost resembled the reptiles I imagined flying above my house. Being five was a trip.

So there I was, awake, on a counter, five, looking for a sleeping aid. Usually, I would go wake up my mom by now, but I was committed and in too deep. I had no idea if I was going to even make it off the counter. It got crazy.

The ground flew off farther away from my feet from before when I had originally stood up. Even the ceiling got taller, and everything stretched out. Just me and a counter floating in the endless space of oblivion between the ground and the ceiling.

Talk about being five.

I had no other way out but in. So, I opened the counter Infront of me wondering what I could have assumed was up there. Vitamins. I was on the wrong side, I assumed from my disappointment. It wasn’t what I expected although I expected nothing. I sat there in space thinking about my next move.

I don’t know if my knees can take that fall.

It looked far and long.

I weighed out my options, and from my knowledge, there wasn’t many.

I was five, and I’ve only experience about one other option and it was originally not getting on the counter. Since option one clearly failed, I was stuck with option two, which was being on the counter. From previous experience, I was clearly not experienced beyond this point.

I sat for quite a long time; the idea hit me that maybe there was something in the vitamin cabinet I could take that would help me fly. I decided to use my minimal vocabulary to figure this out. I saw a V and that seemed promising, I ate all of those. I knew vitamin started with V. There I was, on the counter, five, and I just ate a whole bunch of V’s. As I lay waiting for the vitamins to take effect which I would assume to be immediately. I wondered what my mom would think tomorrow since I’d probably be a superhero or something.

I started imaging all of the places I would fly to once I made it off the counter.  I mean I could literally go anywhere.
