Have you ever been driving and suddenly realized that you basically time-traveled to your destination? Something crossed your mind, and it was almost like your body went on autopilot, while your focus stepped into a thought or memory.
You know how when you're having fun time flies? What if it stops?
What if you are vibrating at such a high frequency of joy that you literally slow down time and live so blissfully and purely in the present moment?
So much so that you take in every detail around you, beyond the five senses. You are really there. Things you've never noticed before. Like that peculiar polka dots of light grey that you never noticed on the walls around you or the smell of soft cinnamon from a candle you've forgotten about under your bed.
Ok, I know what you're thinking. If time feels slowed down in such a place, how does it speed up?
This is my theory.
What if you hadn't paid attention to the time at all...
Possibly, you would have felt such an extended and elated sense of joy and presence, that you feel as if it was a long day, and you are exhausted. I'm sure you've felt that before. The days you forget your phone in the car, and for a long time, you have no idea what time it is.
Your surroundings just change, and your experiences continue, you walk right into the people you are meant to meet, with no reference to time. Just blissful trust in the continued flow of forward momentum.
It's incredible how long you can ride that wave.
It feels like a long time. When you have no idea what time it is.
Could you imagine?
Just walking around using the sun. How simple would it be to just notice and take challenges as they come and be present for each one, then it turns out, everything is actually manageable because you're not super-mounting future problems to your day today with your imagination about all the "tomorrows" making them feel very much like multiple "todays" instead of just what's right now.
Maybe this is a personality trait and I'm wrong to even think other people feel the same way. It's hard to believe it's not even a little common though.
But wait! I'm a contact person, I call my friends a bunch and check in on my family as often as they cross my mind, which is a good amount of time. The trick I try to play on myself is to not look at the time while I'm on the phone, feeling fully present with the person on the other line. In those moments, I feel like that person is right there, with me, and we chillin' ;) <- (This is just a little side note on the suggestion to correct - We chillin'- adding - are- and the g... taking away from the initial vibe)
So, what I'm saying is...
Being present is dope! :P
Way more relaxing.
;)
As always,
Thank you for reading.
