Finally happy but sad
Can you believe it?
It's a happy sad state
can you relate.
It's seeing, believing in your sight
But something just isn't right
Or wrong, maybe?
I'll just listen to a song
Sing along
and forget
It's like walking through fog
In a room you've been to before
But the frame hasn't set
You forgot to wear contacts
Because your glasses are broken
But at ease
You see
What you want
and dismiss the rest
But then, someone will ask you
about the size of the font
You'll think it's a tease
So, you smile and nod
You poke and pretend
Turn and tend to your hair
pull a strand here and there
Back into the fog
Comforting confusion
where you can taste the air
Hear the smell
Now you're at a fair
In line, you are standing
Not sure if you're aware
Or even there
But you continue
Let the ambiance consume you
You're a tasty snack
Sprinkled with confusion
Seasoned with dismay
Grilled to perfection
Walking right into misdirection
But complacent and at peace
There is no more fight
No more battles
Just washed away
Submitting to the saddle
A bobble head
To say the least
On your way to your monster's feast
